Examination Results

April first fortnight is usually "Examination Results " time , I still remember my school days wherein we used to eagerly wait for our regular Postman (Well you see our school was one of those fundooo schools which used to post our results )

My cousin roughly around 11 years old got his examination results and had scored reasonably well , he informs me that he has a "CENTER FRESH " chewing gum for his dad

I was like why ?????????

He gave me a dirty nasty look which meant "Dont you know "

Then the advertisement for the chewing gum appears on the T.V wherein a adolescent after scoring miserable marks in his Examination offers the gum to his DAD to keep his mouth -shut

Praveen

I was about to take my bike from the parking spot where i regularly park,trying to get better acquainted i asked the watchman his name and introduced myself as Praveen

He immediately asked is it Praveen Kumar ? I replied yes ....well thats my last name but how did he know (Well not a tough task since most Tams /Kannidagas have 'Kumar' as last name )
but this guy was a Bengali .Hmmm it took a while for me to realise that i share my name with a budding cricketer

Tough reasoning since i do not really follow Cricket unless iam left with no choice where everyone around me are watching or talking CRICKET

Anyway @least my full name has an article dedicated in Wikipedia :)

Bungee Jumping

I just could not believe the news when i was flipping the TV remote on last Saturday evening , well i was completely devasted and speechless . The immediate thought which was echoing in my mind was "It could have been me "

I always wanted to try Bungee Jumping and along with a friend of mine went for Para Sailing about 3 years back organized by the same company

Here iam relaxing in my couuch on a weekend flipping channels while someone else who's of my own age and has similar interests just passed away due to sheer negligence of the organizers

I was also listening to the Chairman's interview on the same channel wherein he describes that it "as safe as walking on M.G.Road "

Well iam sure he would now say "Accidents do happen on M.G .Road "

Add to the irony that there were no ambulance , no paramedical staff

This would certainly bring in lot of debate , probably a ban on the adventure club , extra safety precautions if any ?? a detailed investigation as to what went wrong and how can we avoid it and a hell lot of media attention

Would it really bring us back Bharghav for his loved ones , for them their dreams are completely shattered :(

I am just thinking what he might have thought when he was having his Final Free Fall .......................................................
